I Am Thankful
This year I’ve faced some unexpected challenges and profound changes. I’m still reflecting on what I’ve learned. I do know I have a lot to be thankful for:
I am thankful that Ben is feeling so much better and more like himself after major surgery.
I am thankful that our son Philip is happy and healthy and celebrating his second birthday today.
I am thankful that I have a fantastic support network of family and friends that jumped into action earlier this year when I needed them most.
I am thankful that my 10-year-old mini-dachshund has recovered from his back problems and returned to his normal self…even if that means being the loudest bark in the room and the destroyer of toddler toys.
I am thankful that in the midst of uncertainty and heartache the school house spoke to us and said “why not take a chance on me?”
Our family is truly entering a time of rebirth and rebuilding and it is only fitting that we bring “Gramp’s Old School” along for the ride!

Now for the fun stuff! All the Teffts are together today, this may be the first time in ten years we’ve all had Thanksgiving together (another thing to be thankful for). We’re excited to have Sarah Tefft home from Boston. She’ll be touring the school house for the first time tomorrow and putting that art degree to use taking some snazzy pics for us.
I’d like to have a logo for “Gramp’s Old School” to use on the blog and so forth. This family is creative to say the least, so here’s what everyone came up with. Keep in mind these are first drafts and my photography skills have been affected by an overdose of turkey. Yes that is a school house wearing a beard. Leave a comment at the end of the blog to let us know your favorites! If you have a logo idea send a sketch to jill.tefft@gmail.com and I’ll feature a few in an upcoming post!
